A Chinese woman cleans electric fans at an outdoor stall in Beijing May
29, 2003. Since central air-conditioning became suspected as one of the
conduits for spreading the SARS virus, electric fan sales have
sky-rocketed as Beijing citizens attempt to stay cool in the pre-summer
heat already reaching 32 degrees Celcius. The flu-like virus has killed
325 people in China and infected 5,323 by May 28, 2003. REUTERS/Guang
